This photo of me was taken in 1971. In 1971 cigarette advertisements were banned on American television, and Swiss women were granted the right to vote.
I took this photo of myself in 2009. In February of this year the Freedom to Travel to Cuba Act was introduced into the US Congress, and the first African-American President of the United States was inaugurated.
